Well, for all the Paul Pierce flag wavers let's get one thing right, he's probably a nice guy. But let's not allow that to stand in the way of what's going on with the team. Pierce plays Rondo basketball, half court-slow down offence which, of course, is not the Celt's type of game with this current roster. They need to run to succeed and when Pierce is controlling the ball it just ain't gonna happen. His style of play takes too long and too many teammates out of the game. So what if he had a good night for a guy his age? They still lost. This is also a reflection on Rivers: Either he doesn't want to face up to Pierce and take the ball out of his hands or he's not a very good coach - not for this bunch of players to make it out of the first round of the playoffs. It's pretty obvious that if they make it into the playoffs they'll be playing for the money and not the glory.
