Tom Brady wants to lay low when it comes to talking about his restructured contract with the Patriots.
John Dennis, co-host of WEEI’s “Dennis & Callahan Show,” contacted Brady to ask if the Patriots quarterback would appear on the talk show on which he makes a weekly in-season appearances. Dennis hoped Brady would come on air to explain his decision to accept three-year, $27 million contract extension that is by most accounts well under the market value for a marquee NFL quarterback.

For once, an athlete who has his head on straight. Congrats and best wishes to him.

At a time in our society when celebrity status is often attached with money, ego and the negative side of society we, as New England Fans, get to watch, listen to, and learn from one of the classiest, greatest athletes of our time. If I ever met Tom Brady I would simply wish to shake his hand and say thank-you for being who he is. We as fans have been blessed.
What a class act, bless you Brady.
Tom Brady is the classiest pro-football player ever. Period.
Good for Tom. Hopefully others will follow his lead.
I love this guy!!!!
Kraft makes millions off of the knuckleheads who spend hard earned money to watch men play a kid's game. If Brady had signed a contract for his fair market value and gave that money to a children's hospital or used it to built homes for the homeless, that would be impressive. But, letting Kraft keep it to spend on other millionaire athletes is not impressive. To his credit, Brady seems to appreciate that his latest contract, which may pay him less than fair market value, is nothing to crow about.
Do you realize how stupid your words make you look? Your logic is foolish and twited unless you happen to be a 5th grader and in that case I will give you a pass.
Tom Brady, thanks for taking this contract deal and thanks for being low-keyed when asked about it. Boston is lucky to have you.
He's a class act. We're lucky to have him.
We should all be thankful for Tom Brady, not only as a great football player but even more so as a class act and a REAL role model for youngsters.
Years from now when Tom has retired with atleast three super bowl titles and maybe more, we will all look back at these times as the best ever to be a Patriots fan.
Thank You Tom, you are loved and appreciated more than you know.
rhs777,
You're "thankful for Tom Brady." He's a "REAL role model," and "loved and appreciated"? Brady plays football and is a multi-millionaire. How does that make him a role model? With regard to your great admiration of him, he doesn't even know you exist. Pathetic.
