WALTHAM -- The Celtics have officially signed 6-foot-9-inch center D.J. White to a 10-day contract, the team announced Thursday. White will be available to play when the Celtics play host to the Golden State Warriors on Friday at TD Garden.

“This organization has a rich tradition, countless championships, so it’s just an honor to be a part of this organization,” White told reporters prior to the Celtics’ practice.
