A split-squad broadcast team for NESN?

Split-squad games are a necessary tradition of spring training, allowing the abundance of players in camp to get in some game action.

But a split-squad broadcast team? That’s a new one, at least around here.

It's going to take more than a split squad gimmick in the broadcast booth to get inspiration to turn on the Red Sox this year.

As a lifelong Sox fan that no longer lives in New England but still follows the team via satellite, I have never understood the allure the Orsillo/Remy broadcast team on NESN has on the region's viewers. They seldom provide any meaningful insight and bore me to death with endless stats that aren't interesting. Orsillo is also starting to repeat himself within the same sentence. I for one welcome ANY change in the broadcast booth at NESN.
