Really poor undisciplined pay from the B's last night. The Bruins took some bad penalites the led to Canadien goals. It seemd the Bruins were so concerned about bullying their way to victory they literally and figuratively lost sight of the faster Montreal players.
Bruins D was in a fog all night. I usually feel that Boychuk is the weak D-link but he has been much better this year. McQuaide plays like a rambunctious high schooler, always pushing, prodding, and eventually drawing a multitude of ridiculous penalties. Ference and Seidenberg were giving up the puck like they were playing for the Canadiens. Just a bad game for the B's with plenty of lessons to study from the video of the game. And, Monsieur Chiarelli best make a deal for Briere, Iginla, or another sniper out there to pump up the offense on any other line but #2. Maybe it is time for Krecji to go, another wing to come, and Seguin to go to center.
The Habs always play really tough against the B's. The Habs speed is a problem for Boston andt hey poke check better than any team in the league. The B's can not linger with the puck on their sticks or Montreal will be right on them, poke it away and off to the races. This was a problem during the Cup run too. The Bruins need to adjust. Be tough but be fast. Make quick, short passes and keep their feet moving. And you can't hit them if you can't catch them.
Waiting for the puck to come to you, a complete defensive collapse from the drop of the puck, and poor passing - all contributed to last night's loss.
