Claude Julien backs Zdeno Chara ‘100 percent’

WILMINGTON — On Monday, a day after losing Zdeno Chara for 17 precious minutes, coach Claude Julien reiterated that his captain had done the right thing.

Chara had chased down Alexei Emelin after the Montreal defenseman cross-checked Tyler Seguin in the ribs. As Seguin scurried to the dressing room, Chara delivered a string of uppercuts to Emelin’s face.

Comments

This is why the Bruins are such a great 'team", because they do have each others back and look out for one another. The turtles, I mean Canadians are a disgrace to hockey.

Thornton was a standout on Sunday.  I hope he gets more ice time.

Is anyone else getting frustrated with Nathan Horton's efforts? Krejci and Lucic work their tails off on that line and Horton's public skating. I think he is the most overrated Bruin. Unlimited potential yet seldom realized. He was billed as a power forward and there was talk that Cam Neely would be working with him. It's never materialized and the bad habits which he developed in Florida have never been eliminated. It seems like he's giving just enough to keep the criticism at bay. Blake Wheeler and Michael Ryder never had it as easy as #18 does.
