Nice call out re: College Baseball .... it's a great watch .... too bad the Northeast fans and media alike barely acknowledge its played.
It would be a great story for the Sox this season. People aren't giving the Sox much of a chance this year but for some reason I have the feeling that this team will overachieve. After having had to deal with underachievers and malcontents, as well as a lunatic of a manager, it would be nice to be able to root for this team again. Larry, stay out of the way, if possible!
Oh no! Chris you've tainted the name of Jackie Bradley Jr.! Rondo represents everything that is wrong with today's young professional athelete. He's selfish, arrogant and petulant. Let's hope the JB Jr stays far from any Rondo influence.
More and more it looks like the time is NOW for this kid. Move whoever it takes. Or simply bench any in his way. Seriously. Not the time to hesitate. He looks like just the thing they need. Just do it.
Chris you are drinking the kool-aid. I have followed the Red Sox since the 1950s and it seems like every year that they have a poor team such as this year the press starts as a shill for management and writes articles about some kid in the farm system who is due to be the next Willie Mays or Sandy Koufax. Lars Anderson was the latest. They never work out. When you have a 5th place team how else can you keep the interest. What this team really needs is a change in ownership. They were lucky enough to inherit Dan Duguette's team, took all the credit for that and in 5 years had driven the team into the ground. Cherrington is playing way over his head as Luchinno's puppet and has shown no ability to take any chances by siging a bunch of non-impact overpaid free agents instead of picking up somebody who can make a difference like Josh Hamilton. He is not Billy Bean. In the AL east the competition is to good both on the field and in the front office for the Red Sox to be anything but a basement team, as they will stay until the 3 stooges finally sell.
Gee. I don't know Elton if I would put them in the HOF just yet...but there are a few fellows I think you're forgetting names of Ellsbury...Pedroia...Middlebrooks...just in RECENT history...let alone "NEVER".
If Chris is drinking Kool-Aid, you must be drinking Drano.
The guy is 23 and ML read defensively. He has been successful at every level. But the sox would rather sign Victorino, an over the hill ball player for a boat load of money rather than give Bradley a chance. Same Sox, don't know what they are doing.
