Their egos bruised, their scoring touch in need of fine-tuning, and their backline choppy, the Bruins return to work Thursday night with the suddenly respectable Maple Leafs visiting the Garden.
Now 14-3-3, the Bruins have yet to lose consecutive games in regulation this season, and it was only last week that team Black and Gold was humming along in the midst of a six-game winning streak. But after back-to-back 4-3 setbacks to the Canadiens and Capitals (in overtime), it appears they’ve got some fixing to do.

Reading alot of comments yesterday about the losses to the Canadians and Capitals. There were several people who put blame on Tuukka Rask and goaltending issues. First thing is, are you kidding me? Really? He got run over and flatened three times by Ovechkin and not one Bruin went after Ovechkin for doing so. In both losses the Bruins hardly hit the other teams other than the big hit on Subban and Chara going after Emelin. The Bruins can't and won't win with playing physical hockey. I live in D.C. and see this Caps team all the time and they melt when they are hit and the Bruins with a 3-0 lead stop playing and didn't hit which gave the Capitals confidence to come back. As for the defense, I think they are ok, the biggest problem is the Bruins are so bad in the offensive zone that the other team gets the puck right back and into the Bruins end and the forwards don't do a good job helping the defense, especially against the boards getting the puck out. The offense has been horrible except for Marchand, Bergeron and Horton at times. Sequin, Lucuc, Peverley, Krejci, Campbell, Kelly, Paille, Bourque don't have a clue.
P.S. I meant to say the Bruins can't win unless they play physical hockey and isn't there anyone in Providence that can put the puck in the net? Come on Peter, we all know you can do better than this.
rhs777 is tight! The Bs have to take the body, especially the defensemen. Stand them up on the blue line! The only forwards playing physical are Lucic, Campbell, and Thornton. Thornton should be moved up to the third line with Peverly and Campbell. Kelly should play on the fourth line until he gets his game back. Sequins looks more and more like Samsonov, outskating everyone then coughing up the puck or making a bad pass!
