FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Red Sox are awaiting MRI results on both of David Ortiz’ heels. The MRIs were conducted, according to manager John Farrell and Sox assistant general manager Mike Hazen, strictly for “precautionary reasons.”
Ortiz has had a problem with his left Achilles’ heel since last July. Lately, Ortiz has experienced soreness in his heel area after workouts. Two years ago, he had soreness in his right heel, which is why the Red Sox wanted to take another look.

I hope that medicare will cover his tests. Since his social security will be kicking in soon, he should be ok.
