OTTAWA - The Bruins may in fourth place in the Eastern Conference right now, but Senators coach Paul MacLean thinks they are the best team in the conference.
“They just do everything right,” MacLean said Monday, ahead of the team’s matchup. “They’re the best team, probably, in the league. From top to bottom, depthwise, from the goaltender on out, they’re very good.
“They’re very hard to play against. They play the game and wear you out. They just keep coming over and over and over again. As far as I’m concerned, they’re the best team in the East.”
Ottawa is five points behind the Bruins and seeded sixth in the East.
Robin Lehner, in goal for Ottawa’s 2-1 loss to the Bruins on Feb. 28, will get the start Monday. Lehner will face Tuukka Rask.
Ex-Canadien Guillaume Latendresse will play Monday night for Ottawa. Latendresse has not played since Jan. 30 because of whiplash symptoms.
No changes are expected in the Bruins’ lineup. Jordan Caron will appear in his second straight game on the third line with Chris Kelly and Rich Peverley.
