PITTSBURGH — The Bruins were seven minutes away from stealing a win. They held a 2-0 lead over the Penguins. Anton Khudobin was making timely saves. Zdeno Chara had kept Sidney Crosby (20 points in his last eight games) off the scoresheet.
But the Bruins were sitting on their lead. It is no way to play against any opponent, far less one as lethal as Pittsburgh. The Penguins made the Bruins pay for their indifference.

Khudobin is not cutting it. Seidenberg is wobbly late in games. We need reinforcements up front and in the backup goalie position real soon. Chiarelli has to act pretty quick!
To PetesCall, what game were you watching? The problem once again was not the goaltending, it was just like against Montreal, Washington and now Pittsburgh, the Bruins get a lead and sit on it and stop taking shots and creating any offensive opportunities. It is maddening and will cost the Bruins in the long run if they don't lose this style of play or rather no play.
It's nopt a goalie problem. It's a lack of Oh-fense (as they say in Canada)!
It is a lack of Oh-fense as Potlemac said. I am from N.E. and The B's are my team (no one else's. mine). But they really do tend to sit on leads. Because I now live in Western Pa, I see a lot of The Pens and scoring seems to generate a hunger for more scoring with The Pens. They really go for it. Not sure what The B's need. I'd like to hear Milan Lucic's name and also Horton's name called out more in games. How can guys that big be invisible?
Khudobin is just not a very good backup... When the team is flailing, it's up to the goalie to shut the door. He gets beat 3 times in 5 minutes! Sure, they sat on that lead, but Khudobin choked. And Dennis seems to make bad passes at the wrong time in his own end. I watched it pretty closely!
