Rex Ryan is like every coach: He doesn’t want to see his best player leave. Yet even while Ryan said Tuesday that the Jets are not actively pursuing a trade of Darrelle Revis, he sounded prepared to enter the 2013 season without his star cornerback. Ryan said it’s not a foregone conclusion the Jets will deal Revis, who is unhappy with his contract and reportedly has been the subject of discussion with several teams, most recently Tampa Bay. Ryan also said Mark Sanchez will be the Jets’ starting quarterback for ‘‘the first snap’’ in minicamp, but insists there will be an open competition at the position . . . Less than 24 hours after being released by the Titans, 37-year-old quarterback Matt Hasselbeck signed with division rival Indianapolis. Terms of the deal were not immediately available . . . The Miami Dolphins announced that defensive tackle Randy Starks has signed his franchise tender . . . The 49ers signed free agent kicker Phil Dawson to a one-year contract.
