Tuukka Rask has played so well that he might have merited an All-Star nod, if there had been an All-Star game this season.

Since we’re past the halfway point of this shortened season, it’s worth acknowledging some non-rookies who might have been headed to their first NHL All-Star Game — if it hadn’t been wiped out by the lockout.

C Nazem Kadri, Maple Leafs: Out of the minors for good, he’s become team’s top playmaker (11-14--25).

LW Chris Kunitz, Penguins: At 33, he’s got two rings but no All-Star nods. Might have been his year (14-17--31).

RW Jakub Voracek, Flyers: He’s emerged as the team’s top scorer (12-17--29) in his second year in Philly.

D P.K. Subban, Canadiens: After a brief holdout, he’s logged a 6-9--15 total in 18 games with stout defense.

G Tuukka Rask, Bruins: Taking over No. 1 role, he’s won 12 of his 17 starts with a shining 1.97 GAA.

C Colin Wilson, Predators: Though currently injured, ex-BU star (7-12--19) is among leaders in shooting pct. (26.9).

LW Taylor Hall, Oilers: The former top pick, still only 21, has stepped up in Edmonton as a facilitator (4-15--19).

RW P.A. Parenteau, Avalanche: The free agent addition has been earning his paycheck with a 10-13--23 line.

D Kevin Shattenkirk, Blues: The ex-Terrier ranks among the top-scoring blue liners (2-17--19) in the West.

G Corey Crawford, Blackhawks: Unsung during Chicago’s blazing start with 1.81 GAA and .930 save percentage.
