Surgery up in the air for Patriots’ Rob Gronkowski

A possible fourth arm surgery for tight end Rob Gronkowski remains up in the air, as Gronkowski, agent Drew Rosenhaus, and the Patriots’ coaches and medical staff wait to see if the infection plaguing his left arm will clear.

Pro Football Talk reported Thursday night that the loose timeline for Gronkowski is six weeks. If his fracture isn’t healing well enough and the infection hasn’t improved enough at that point, he will have another operation as a last resort.
