The 117th Boston Marathon takes place today. Here are some key facts you’ll want to know:

The course: The point-to-point route extends from Hopkinton to Boston, ending at the finish line on Boylston Street in front of the Boston Public Library.

Wheelchair Division: 9:17 a.m.

Ashland: Closes at 7:30 a.m., reopens at 1 p.m.

Framingham: Closes at 8:45 a.m., reopens at 1:30 p.m.

Natick: Closes at 8:45 a.m., reopens at 2 p.m.

Wellesley: Closes at 8:45 a.m., reopens at 2:30 p.m.

Newton: Closes at 9 a.m., reopens at 3:30 p.m.

Brookline: Closes at 9:30 a.m., reopens at 4:30 p.m.

Boston: Closing times vary, reopens at 6 p.m.
