MLB roundup: Yankees pay tribute to Boston

Robinson Cano hit a three-run homer, and the New York Yankees beat the Arizona Diamondbacks, 4-2, at Yankee Stadium Tuesday night in a game devoted to honoring victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

The Yankees paid tribute to the victims by playing the Fenway Park favorite ‘‘Sweet Caroline’’ at Yankee Stadium after the third inning. The popular sing-along song has been featured at Red Sox home games since 2002.
