Every Sunday, Boston Globe photographer Stan Grossfeld asks the subject of one of his photos to explain what’s happening in the shot.
Who’s up today: Jacopo Ferraro, 16, of Rome, performing skateboard tricks near the Coliseum in Rome.
Said Ferraro: “I’m only thinking about finishing the trick. Its very beautiful flying. The Coliseum is the most important monument of Rome and it’s very beautiful. The tourists watch me but they don’t give me thumbs up or down. This trick is my preference.
“I’m not the best in the city but I’ve been doing this for two years. I’m like a sparrow; I wish to be the best in the city.

“When I was skateboarding, I broke my arm. I tried a trick, more difficult than this and landed in the streets and the arm broke. I am brave, but scared a little bit.”
