Sports log: Phelps downplays report of comeback

Olympic legend Michael Phelps is making a comeback for the 2016 Olympics, according to Peter Busch, a news anchor at WBBH, an NBC television affiliate in Fort Myers, Fla. Busch, the son of US national swim team director Frank Busch, posted the report on the station’s website. Phelps downplayed it on Twitter. “Do (people) really believe everything they hear or read? There are (too) many (people) in the world that think they have a ‘story,’ ’’ Phelps wrote.
