Longest serving managers in MLB

Mike Scioscia has managed the Angels for 14 seasons, the longest tenure with the same team among active skippers. But seniority is no guarantee of job security.

The Angels have missed the playoffs three straight years and have added nearly $50 million in payroll the past two seasons. But despite the additions of Albert Pujols and C.J. Wilson last season and Josh Hamilton this season, the 2013 Angels got off to the worst start (15-27) in Scioscia’s 14 seasons in Anaheim.
