Alex Rodriguez’s name has been connected to yet another twist in the MLB Biogenesis scandal.

CBS’ “60 Minutes” reported on Friday that associates of Rodriguez leaked documents to the media that identified Milwaukee’s Ryan Braun and the Yankees’ Francisco Cervelli (Rodriguez’s teammate) as targets of the Biogenesis probe.

Braun (62 games) and Cervelli (50 games) have since accepted suspensions connected to the Biogenesis investigation.

Rodriguez’s attorney, David Cornwell, denied the allegations that the Yankees third baseman signed off on leaking documents.

“The allegations are untrue and are another attempt to harm Alex -- this time by driving a wedge between Alex and other players in the game,” Cornwell told “60 Minutes.”

“While Alex focuses on baseball and repeatedly states that he is going to respect the appeal process, the drumbeat of false allegations continues.”

Rodriguez was suspended for 211 games by MLB, but has since appealed and is eligible to play until the appeal hearing is heard. Rodriguez is set to play the Red Sox at Fenway Park on Friday.
