Tom Brady expects challenge from Buffalo defense

FOXBOROUGH — The Patriots are well under way with their game plan for Sunday’s season opener at Buffalo.

Quarterback Tom Brady is starting his 14th NFL season against a division opponent he has dominated, going 20-2 against the Bills. And while the Bills have made a coaching change — swapping Chan Gailey for Syracuse’s Doug Marrone — Buffalo’s new defensive coordinator, Mike Pettine, is a familiar face to New England, having served as the New York Jets defensive coordinator the past three years.
