The Red Sox released their 2014 schedule Tuesday, and they will open the season next year on the road on Monday, March 31 in Baltimore.
The home opener will be Friday, April 4 against the Milwaukee Brewers in an interleague matchup. It’s the fourth straight season Boston will open on the road.
Interleague opponents will be largely from the National League Central. In addition to Milwaukee, the Cubs, Reds, and Braves will visit Fenway Park. The Sox will travel to Atlanta, St. Louis, Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh.
The Orioles visit on Patriots Day weekend and July 4 weekend. The Yankees make their first visit April 22 to 24.
The Red Sox are scheduled to play 76 of their 162 games versus their American League East rivals, 19 each with Baltimore, New York, Tampa Bay, and Toronto.
The Red Sox play more games at Yankee Stadium and at the Rogers Centre (10 each) than they do in any other road venue.
