N.E. roundup: Kevin Bumpus leads Worcester State

In a record-breaking game full of ups and downs, Worcester State junior quarterback Kevin Bumpus proved to be a steady hand.

Bumpus came on in relief of Pat Viencek midway through the second quarter to pass for 333 yards and five touchdowns — including a 15-yard strike to Arron Witkus as time expired — in the Lancers’ 64-63 shootout victory over Massachusetts Maritime in Worcester.
