High school football: Week 5 picks by Bob Holmes

This week’s picks from the Globe’s High School editor:

Natick over Norwood — I agree with Natick school administrators who warn that computers are being used to bully others. I’m tired of receiving e-mails that say these football predictions are a stupid waste of space.

Everett over Cambridge — So Everett jumps over Natick to become No. 1 in the Globe Top 20? What did you guys do, promise casino jobs to my college crew?

Ipswich over Georgetown — Speaking of the college crew, wonder why they all want to head north to cover this one. Could the fried Oreos at the Topsfield Fair have something to do with it?

Governor’s over St. Sebastian’s — Now these teams decide to play? What about last year? Here’s an idea: You guys schedule the first six games, then let us schedule the last two. It will be far more interesting.

Winchester over Reading — But more important than the game, how about heading back to Winchester Sunday and participating in the first Glen Doherty Memorial Road Race? Walk, run (5K or 10K) all in memory of Doherty, the Winchester grad and former Navy Seal who was killed in the attack on the American consulate in Libya last year. Go to glendohertyfoundation.org for more info.

Last week: 3-3. Season: 13-12.
