Revolution keeper Matt Reis has surgery on quad

Keeper will miss 5-7 months

New England Revolution goalkeeper Matt Reis underwent surgery Monday to repair a torn tendon on his left quadriceps and will need 5-7 months to recuperate, the team announced.

Reis suffered the injury during the Revolution’s 3-1 season-ending playoff loss to Sporting Kansas City last Wednesday.
