High school football: Week 11 picks by Bob Holmes

This week’s picks from the Globe’s High School editor:

Lawrence over Peabody — I want a recount, too. I can’t possibly be under .500 this fall. Who’s adding these things up?

Central Catholic over Everett — Shutting out Lowell was nice, but Central Catholic has averaged close to 50 points a game the past month. Everett won’t pitch a shutout this week.

Mansfield over Barnstable — Crossing that bridge is a huge mistake . . . don’t do it, don’t do it.

Dennis-Yarmouth over Holliston — See above.

Lincoln-Sudbury over Waltham — The Division 2 South lovefest doesn’t bother the North participants. The Warriors will only have to play one of those teams.

Franklin over Brockton — This is just one example of new format creating interesting matchups for non-playoff teams.

Milton Academy over Dexter — The Dexter story is nice, but these games come down to which league is stronger. And the ISL beats the Evergreen’s high-scoring, little-defense approach.

Last week 3-5 (season 30-33).
