College roundup: UConn soccer kicks out UCLA

Cyle Larin scored his second goal of the match in the 69th minute to lock Connecticut into a 3-3 tie and send the third-round game in the men’s NCAA soccer tournament with No. 1 UCLA into overtime Sunday night in Los Angeles.

After 120 minutes, the contest went to penalty kicks. UConn’s Alex Sanchez found the back of the net on the first kick of the second round and goalie Andre Blake made a stellar save on UCLA’s Victor Munoz to give the Huskies a 5-4 win on PKs and a spot in the Elite Eight.
