Rob Gronkowski surgery nearing

FOXBOROUGH — Tight end Rob Gronkowski has not yet had surgery to repair his right knee, though it will likely happen around the beginning of the new year.

NFL.com reported on Monday that tests have shown no dislocation of the knee for Gronkowski, who was injured against Cleveland Dec. 8 when he was hit by Browns safety T.J. Ward after a third-quarter catch.
