Chris Wilson and Ronald Roberts Jr. scored 19 points each to lead Saint Joseph’s to a 73-67 comeback win over Boston University Sunday in Philadelphia.
Trailing, 35-28, at the break, the Hawks (7-4) fell 11 points behind early in the second half before steadily closing the gap, taking the lead on a tip-in by Halil Kanacevic with 7:04 left and then pulling away with an 11-2 run. Langston Galloway contributed 16 points in the win and DeAndre Bembry had 11.
The teams were evenly matched but the outcome hinged on free throws. Saint Joseph’s hit 20 of its 25 foul shots, and while BU showed similar marksmanship it made just 11 trips to the line.

The Terriers (7-6) led by as many as 12 points in the game, but couldn’t stop the Hawks’ rally.
Maurice Watson Jr. led BU with 21 points and seven rebounds, while Dom Morris added 11 points.
Central Conn. 85, Albertus Magnus 82 — Kyle Vinales sank two free throws to retake the lead in the final minute and then hit two more to secure the win as the Blue Devils (4-8) held off the Falcons in New Britain, Conn.
Vinales scored 20 points and eight assists in the win, while Faronte Drakeford contributed 22 points and 10 rebounds. Victor Ljuljdjuraj led Albertus Magnus (7-1) with 24 points and 14 rebounds.
Maine 89, Middle Tennessee 85 — Dimitry Akanda-Coronel scored 27 points, including 3 in overtime as the Black Bears (2-9) defeated the Blue Raiders (8-5) in the first game of the Dr. Pepper Classic in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Maine (2-9) snapped an eight-game losing streak, and will play tournament host Chattanooga in the championship game Monday.
Niagara 68, Brown 65 — Antoine Mason scored a career-high 39 points as the Purple Eagles (4-9) held on to beat the Bears (6-5) in New York.

Mason shot 11 of 25 from the floor (44 percent), and made 14 of 17 from the free throw line. Niagara made just 21 of 65 shots (32 percent) but went 22 of 27 from the line.
Mason, who leads the nation in scoring with an average of 28.3 points a game, scored more than 30 points for the eighth time this season.
Sean McGonagill scored 6 straight points for the Bears in the final minute and finished with 19 points and five 3-pointers.
Washington 73, Hartford 67 — C.J. Wilcox scored 23 points, 18 in the second half, and the Huskies (8-5) held off the stubborn Hawks (5-9) in Seattle.
Hartford led much of the game, but Wilcox put the Huskies ahead, 53-52, with a pair of free throws with 7:24 left.
Washington made 13 of 15 free throws over the final 7:30 for the winning edge.
Mark Nwakamma led Hartford with 21 points.
Oregon St. 76, Quinnipiac 68 — Angus Brandt returned after missing two games with a hyperextended knee to score 21 points and lead the Beavers (8-4) over the Bobcats (6-5) in Corvallis, Ore.
Ike Azotam had 17 points and five rebounds for Quinnipiac (6-5), while Umar Shannon made five 3-pointers on his way to 18 points and Ousmane Drame added 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Wichita State 81, Davidson 70 — Cleanthony Early had 24 points and 10 rebounds to help the 10th-ranked Shockers (13-0) extend the best start in school history with a win over the Wildcats (4-9) in Wichita, Kan. Ron Baker had 15 points for Wichita State (13-0) while Darius Carter scored 13 and Tekele Cotton added 10.

Oregon 97, Morgan St. 76 — Joseph Young scored 24 points and the No. 12 Ducks (12-0) continued their best start in eight seasons by routing the Bears (3-9) in Eugene, Ore.
Florida 76, Savannah St. 34 — Florida’s Pat Young scored 15 points, becoming the 50th player in school history to reach 1,000 in his career as the No. 13 Gators (10-2) dominated the Tigers (2-11) in Gainesville, Fla.
Williams 84, Washington 76— The Ephs (8-1), ranked fifth in Division 3, held off the Shoremen (4-5) to advance to Monday’s championship game of the Washington and Lee tournament in Lexington, Va.
Women
BC 80, Providence 71 — Kristen Doherty had 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals to help the Eagles (8-5) hold off the Lady Friars (5-6) in Providence.
The Eagles quickly took an 18-3 lead in the first half. Providence slowly chipped away, hitting four straight 3-pointers to cut BC’s lead to 3 points with 8:34 to play. Providence took its first lead, 35-33, with 1:38 to play in the first half.
The Eagles took the lead at halftime, 40-37, when Doherty hit a 3-pointer with two seconds left. BC pulled away from Providence halfway through the second half. The Eagles went on a 13-1 run behind two 3-pointers from Nicole Boudreau and one from Kat Cooper to stretch a 6-point lead to 65-50 with less than 10 minutes to play.

Connecticut 67, Cincinnati 34 — Breanna Stewart had 12 points and 12 rebounds to lead the top-ranked Huskies (13-0, 1-0) over the Bearcats (7-5, 0-1) in Storrs, Conn., in the teams’ first matchup as members of the American Athletic Conference.
Notre Dame 70, Oregon St. 58 — Kayla McBride scored 20 points, Natalie Achonwa added 16 points and eight rebounds, and the second-ranked Irish (11-0) remained perfect in beating the Beavers (8-4) in Corvallis, Ore.
Tennessee 110, Lipscomb 42 — Isabelle Harrison had 26 points and 15 rebounds as the fifth-ranked Lady Vols (11-1) cruised past the Lady Bisons (3-8) in Knoxville, Tenn.
Kentucky 109, Grambling St. 46 — Bria Goss scored a career-high 23 points to lead the No. 6 Wildcats (12-1) over the Tigers (3-8) in Lexington, Ky.
Louisville 71, Southern Methodist 51 — Shoni Schimmel scored 18 points, Sara Hammond had 14 points and 10 rebounds, and the No. 7 Cardinals (13-1, 1-0) opened American Athletic Conference play with a victory over the visiting Mustangs (9-3, 0-1).
BU 80, Vermont 62 — The Terriers (5-8), led by senior Rashidat Agboola with 19 points, shot a blistering 51.9 percent from the field in a victory over their former America East rivals, the Catamounts (4-8), in Burlington, Vt.
Harvard 61, Tulsa 57 — Guard Jasmine Evans scored a career-high 17 points on 5-of-10 shooting, including 4 of 7 from behind the arc, to push the Crimson past the Golden Hurricane in the first round of the Fordham Holiday Classic in the Bronx, N.Y.
