Boys’ basketball players of the week

Brandon Williams, St. Clement — In a 68-64 win over Maimonides Tuesday, the junior point guard poured in 37 points to lead the No. 16 Anchormen.

Phil Rogers, Lynn Classical — The senior dropped 38 points in the Rams’ upset of then-No. 14 Lynn English Tuesday. Rogers also helped lead Lynn Classical to an upset of then-No. 19 Salem Friday.

Hugh O’Neil, Lexington — The Minutement handled Belmont, 75-68, Tuesday behind O’Neil’s 35 points and 11 rebounds.

Alex Hilger, Natick — The senior guard scored 30 points on eight 3-pointers against Norwood Tuesday, and he followed up that performance by leading all scorers with 29 points in Friday’s loss at Wellesley.

James Lam, Quincy — The junior forward had 12 points as the Presidents handed then-No. 2 North Quincy its first loss of the season Friday.

Mike Algeri, Reading — In a 55-44 win over Burlington, the junior guard hit seven 3-pointers, second best all-time for the Rockets. He finished with 25 points.
