Dougie Hamilton won’t play for Bruins vs. Canadiens

MONTREAL – Bruins coach Claude Julien said on Tuesday that he would have some tough decisions to make regarding his defense.

He has made his decision, and that means Dougie Hamilton will get a second consecutive healthy scratch, with newly acquired Andrej Meszaros taking his place in the lineup when the Bruins play the Canadiens Wednesday night.

“Dougie is going to be out again,” Julien said. “I’m going with the same D corps as I had the other night.”

Hamilton spent extra time skating at morning skate with Corey Potter, another healthy scratch, and Daniel Paille, who returned to the ice after getting a concussion on Sunday in Florida and won’t play Wednesday.

“Right now he’s just going through the stages and going very well. Hopefully we move on to the next level by tomorrow,” Julien said.
