Samantha Hyslip

Westford

The two-time Dual County League Large MVP and three-time DCL All-Star averaged a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds this season. Hyslip finished with 1,295 career points and will play at Stonehill next year.

Ashley Russell

Braintree

The Bay State League MVP averaged 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists per game in helping the Wamps to the Division 1 state crown. She has been part of three straight South sectional champions.

Brianna Rudolph

St. Mary’s

The senior guard and Central Catholic Large MVP averaged 20.2 points per game in her final season, setting a school mark with 526 points. The two-time state champion finished with 1,264 career points, second most for a girl at St. Mary’s.

De’Andra Humphries

New Mission

In her senior year, Humphries led New Mission to the Division 4 title. The guard/forward averaged a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds and went over the 1,000-point mark. She will play basketball at Bloomfield College next season.

Brittany Stone

Stone capped her career with her third Mayflower League MVP trophy and fourth league championship. She averaged 20 points and 11 rebounds this season and finished with 1,475 career points.

All-scholastics

Melissa Baptista

Somerville, senior

The Greater Boston League MVP averaged a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds in her final season. A three-time GBL All-Star, she finished her career with 1,075 points.

Emma Carlson

Covenant Christian, senior

After averaging 13 points and 2 blocks, the 5-7 shooting guard was named a NEPSAC All-Star and Girls Independent League MVP. She is the all-time leading scorer in Covenant Christian history. Carlson is also president of the National Honor Society.

Alana Gilmer

The Catholic Central League All-Star averaged 21 points and 9 rebounds and led the Bishops to the Division 3 Eastern Mass. final. Gilmer will enter her senior season just 4 points shy of 1,000 for her career.

Bridget Herlihy

Braintree, junior

The 6-1 junior guard/forward averaged 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Division 1 state champion Wamps. Herlihy was a Bay State League All-Star for the second consecutive season.

Anna Kelly

Lexington, sophomore

The sophomore point guard scored 52 points in a game this season, the third highest single-game total in Massachusetts history. Kelly, the Middlesex League MVP, averaged 26.6 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 steals.

Anna Lachenauer

Milton Academy, senior

The 6-3 center averaged 15.4 points, 11.6 rebounds and 8 blocks per game in her dominant final campaign for Milton Academy. Next winter she’ll play for Harvard. Lachenauer is a three-time NEPSAC All-Star and a cum laude student. She also played soccer for the Mustangs.

Maggie Mulligan

Boston Latin,

The 6-2 center averaged 13.4 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 7.6 blocks in her final season. Mulligan finished her career with 1,010 total points, 803 rebounds, and 525 blocks. She will play basketball for the University of Massachusetts at Amherst next year.

Karlie O’Driscoll

Sharon, senior

The Hockomock MVP averaged 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 steals in her final season. A member of the 1,00-point club, she was a three-time Hockomock All-Star and will attend Caldwell College next year.

Lauren Petit

Medfield, senior

The senior point guard averaged 13.7 points and 4 assists per game while leading the Warriors to a 21-3 finish. The two-time Tri-Valley MVP finished her career as a four-time league All-Star and will play basketball at Bowdoin College next year.

Ava Small

Woodward, senior

This season, Small became the all-time leading scorer in Woodward school history after being named the IGC League MVP. Small scored her 1,000th career point as a sophomore. She scored 52 points in the first game of this year’s NEPSAC tournament.

Stephanie Soto-Rivera

Beaver Country Day, senior

Soto-Rivera averaged 15.3 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals and earned EIL MVP honors in her final season. A three-time NEPSAC All-Star and four-time EIL All-League selection, Soto-Rivera finished with 1,165 career points.

Catherine Stinson

Lynn English, senior

The senior guard finished her career as a two-time Northeastern Conference MVP and three-time league champion. Stinson topped 1,000 points and 500 assists and capped her career with a Division 1 North title.

Infiniti Thomas-Waheed

Newton North, senior

In her final season at Newton North, Thomas-Waheed reached 1,000 career points and 500 career rebounds. She led the Tigers to a 21-4 finish and a Division 1 South sectional final appearance. Thomas-Waheed will play for Holy Cross next year.

Courtney Walsh

Central Catholic, senior

The Merrimack Valley Conference co-MVP averaged 13 points and five assists per game, leading Central Catholic to the Division 1 North final. A state champion as a junior, Walsh will play basketball at Stonehill next year.

Marge Wilson

Winchendon, sophomore

Named co-captain as a sophomore, the point guard led the team in minutes played, assists (19), and steals (33) and was second in points (170) and rebounds (62). The Girls Independent League co-MVP also plays soccer and lacrosse at Winchendon.

Coaches of the Year

Fred Hogan

Division 1: Lynn English

In his final season as head coach, Hogan led the Bulldogs to the Division 1 Eastern Mass. final. He finished his tenure at Lynn English with a 166-57 record and five Northeastern Conference championships.

Bob Sullivan

Division 2: Duxbury

After losing in the Division 2 South sectional final last year, Sullivan and the Dragons won it this season. The Patriot League champions went 20-0 in the regular season before losing in the state semifinals to finish 24-1.

Jeff Newhall

Division 3: St. Mary’s

Newhall guided his team to a 24-2 record and the Division 3 state title, his second championship in four years. He’s compiled a 188-97 record in his 12 seasons on the job and two Globe Coach of the Year honors.

David Fallon

Division 4: Millis

In his seventh season as head coach at Millis, Fallon did the impossible this season, taking a 10-10 team all the way to a Division 4 state championship. He also won a state title with the Mohawks in 2009.
