Celtics will learn lottery spot Friday

The Celtics haven’t had a meaningful game in a long time, but they have a big day coming up.
The Celtics and Jazz tied for the fourth-worst record in the NBA, so there will be a drawing Friday in New York to determine which team gets 104 ping-pong balls and which team gets 103.

The teams with the fourth- and fifth-worst records have a combined 207 chances of landing the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft lottery on May 20.

Milwaukee finished with the worst record and has a 25 percent chance of getting the top pick.

The Celtics have approximately a 10.3 percent chance of landing the top pick, 11.15 percent chance of the second pick, and a 12 percent chance of the third pick.
