Celtics lose draft lottery tiebreaker to Jazz

The Celtics received mixed news Friday afternoon when the NBA released the results of the tiebreaker drawings to determine the draft order.

The Utah Jazz, who were tied with the Celtics for the fourth-worst record in the league at 25-57, won the drawing and will have 104 Ping-Pong balls while the Celtics will have 103. The Celtics will have a 10.3 percent chance at gaining the No. 1 overall pick.

Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets won a drawing with the Washington Wizards and will have the 17th overall pick. But that pick goes to the Celtics as part of the Kevin Garnett-Paul Pierce deal, meaning the Celtics will have two of the first 17 picks in what is considered a strong draft.
