    Stat of the Day: Grady Sizemore was with the Indians from 2004-11, making the All-Star team three times. This series will mark his first time playing against Cleveland. He last played at Progressive Field on Sept. 22, 2011.

    History in the making: The Sox have won seven straight after losing 10 in a row. No team in history has won eight straight after a double-digit losing streak.

    Pitching prowess: The Red Sox have a 2.11 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in their seven-game win streak. The bullpen has been especially dominant, allowing one earned run over 21 innings and striking out 18.
