History in the making: The Sox have won seven straight after losing 10 in a row. No team in history has won eight straight after a double-digit losing streak.

He faced the Indians once last season and allowed one unearned run over seven innings on May 24 at Fenway Park . . . The Sox are 20-7 when they score first . . . Closer Koji Uehara is on another one of his streaks. His last 13 games: 13 innings, 6 hits, 0 runs, 2 walks, 17 strikeouts . . .
