Ron Adams expected to stay with Celtics

A league source told the Globe on Wednesday that, at the moment, Celtics assistant coach Ron Adams will remain with the team.

Adams, a well-respected assistant with more than two decades of NBA experience with several teams, met with the Golden State Warriors this week to discuss a potential position on head coach Steve Kerr’s staff.

Adams, who has two years remaining on the deal with the Celtics after joining the team last summer, was granted permission by the Celtics to meet with the Warriors.
