Likewise, Bellingham had only one loss, by one run to Hopkinton. The Blackhawks flew under the radar for a bit, but became a mainstay in the top three, finishing No. 2 in the rankings after winning the Division 2 state title.

Revere and Greater New Bedford, both unranked all season, were the surprises of the tourney. Revere rode the arm of ace Sabrina Palermo to the Division 1 state semifinals and was the only team to score on B-R in the postseason. Greater New Bedford went from a No. 15 seed with a 13-9 record to the Division 3 state championship.

Tewksbury, too, made a nice run, winning its first-ever North title before losing to Bellingham in the Division 2 state semifinals. It comes in at No. 6.
