Notes: After going 4-6 on their road swing through Oakland, Seattle, and New York, the Sox now play 13 of their next 16 at home starting with a three game set with the Cubs. … This is just the fourth series the Sox have played against the Cubs, but it’s the third time they’ve faced each other in the past four seasons ... The Sox are six games behind the Blue Jays in the AL East and six games behind Seattle for the second wild-card spot ...
