Kyle Busch to race at Thunder Road in Vermont

Kyle Busch, the 2015 NASCAR champ, will be driving in the Vermont Governor’s Cup 150 at Thunder Road in Barre, Vt., on July 13.

Former NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch will drive in the Vermont Governor’s Cup 150 at Thunder Road in Barre, Vt., on July 13.

It will be the first time the Las Vegas native visits the quarter-mile oval in Barre.

Busch, 32, was the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion in 2015.

Busch will be joining a star-studded list of NASCAR drivers who have attempted the race in recent years, including Tony Stewart, Clint Bowyer, and Ken Schrader.

Busch will be in New England that week in preparation for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race, Overton’s 301, on July 16 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon. The tracks are approximately two hours apart.
