Celtics forward Jaylen Brown was named to the NBA’s All-Rookie second team Monday. The forward received the seventh-most votes overall.
Brown, the third overall pick of last year’s draft, averaged 17.2 minutes, 6.6 points, and 2.8 rebounds per game and carved out an important role in the Eastern Conference finals against the Cavaliers, including a 19-point, 4-rebound performance in Game 2.
He received 24 first-team votes and 58 second-team votes from the 100-member voting panel and finished with 106 points.
Milwaukee’s Malcolm Brogdon and Philadelphia’s Dario Saric were unanimous first-team selections. They were joined by Joel Embiid (76ers), Buddy Hield (Kings), and Willy Hernangomez (Knicks).

Brown was joined on the second team by Jamal Murray (Nuggets), Marquese Chriss (Suns), Brandon Ingram (Lakers), and Yogi Ferrell (Mavericks).
