College hockey roundup: First crown for UMass-Lowell

A night after getting shut out by Providence goaltender Jon Gillies, UMass-Lowell found its stride in the third period against the Friars’ freshman phenom.

Josh Holmstrom, Scott Wilson, and Christian Folin scored in the final period to push the River Hawks past host Providence, 4-1, on Saturday night.
