Freshman Myles Willis makes impact for BC

For the second game in a row, Boston College received an immeasurable boost from a member of its freshman class.

In a 35-7 setback at Southern California Sept. 14, freshman running back Tyler Rouse broke up USC’s shutout bid with a 29-yard touchdown run. In Saturday’s 48-34 loss to eighth-ranked Florida State at Alumni Stadium, freshman Myles Willis gave the Eagles a spark with a 71-yard kickoff return to open the second half, then hauled in a 52-yard TD pass from Chase Rettig to pull BC within 38-27 with 2:10 left in the third quarter.
