Eagles shut out talk of shutdown

The threat of Boston College’s homecoming game against Army being postponed or canceled because of the federal government shutdown posed “zero distraction’’ for the Eagles, said coach Steve Addazio after Saturday’s 48-27 victory.

Addazio said he was unaware the game was even in peril until he was informed of the situation by BC athletic director Brad Bates.
