The Dorchester Bears’ special season continued with their sixth straight victory, a 16-12 nonleague win over Brighton Saturday at Madison Park.
The Bears, who picked off Jalen Apperwhite twice in the game, capitalized on a late third-quarter interception by Dale Cooper, turning the Bengals’ mishap into 6 points 13 plays later. Travaughn McCoy scored from 10 yards out to take a 16-12 lead in the fourth quarter, and Dorchester’s defense held tight.
