Top-seeded Pentucket charges on, beats Watertown

Andrew Noyes ran for two first-half touchdowns and top-seeded Pentucket (7-1) held on to beat fifth-seeded Watertown, 23-13, in the Division 4 North semifinals Saturday at West Newbury.

The Sachems punched their ticket to the North final next week at home against No. 3 Bedford.

Raiders quarterback Nick Giordano threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to TJ Hairston in the second quarter to make it a one-score game, but that was as close as the score would get.

D.J. Engelke added a 5-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to put Pentucket ahead, 21-7. Mike Petrillo had a 5-yard touchdown run for Watertown (5-4).
