Catholic Memorial's Nick Goffredo, here diving for the pylon in a game vs. Newton North, led the Knights to a huge 21-20 comeback victory over BC High in a Div. 1 South semifinal.

Division 1

Jake Willcox, Everett — The sophomore quarterback calmly sliced apart Lexington’s defense in a North Sectional semifinal, throwing for 202 yards and three touchdownsof 23, 21 and 20 yards in a 49-21 Tide victory.

Nick Goffredo, Catholic Memorial — The senior QB provided magic in a 21-20 thriller over BC High, connecting with Jarrett Martin on a 42-yard Hail Mary as time expired to propel the Knights into the South Sectional final. Goffredo threw for a second touchdown and ran for another, leading his team back from a 20-0 first half deficit.

Michael Saliba, Xaverian — The junior running back ran for touchdowns of 13 and 5 yards in a 28-0 shutout of Needham, propelling the Hawks into the South Sectional final.

Jake McElroy, North Andover — The junior quarterback went 12-for-24 passing for 260 yards and touchdowns of 25, 9 and 20 yards, adding two rushing touchdowns of 1 and 3 yards in the Scarlet Knights North Section semfininal win over Chelmsford, 35-33.

Andrew Marshall, Lincoln-Sudbury — The senior tailback ran 20 times for 180 yards and TDs of 2and 3 yards as the Warriors punched their ticket to the North Sectional final with a 52-21 win over Masconomet.

Devante Greaves, Bridgewater-Raynham — The 5-foot-11-inch, 194-pound senior running back gained 197 yards on 27 carries and scored on runs 1, 71, and 9 yards as the Trojans advanced to the South Sectional final with a 42-21 victory over Natick.

Division 3

Matt Severance and Tyshawn Anderson, Lynn English — Severance completed all three of his passes to Anderson — one of which went for a 99-yard touchdown — for 187 yards and two scores as the Bulldogs battered Billerica, 34-15, to advance to the North Sectional final.

Joe Gooley, Duxbury — The senior captain ran for three TDs of 2, 10 and 2 yards as the Dragons beat Hingham, 38-13, to move on to the South Sectional final.

Chad Peterson, North Attleborough — Being a dual threat paid off for the senior quarterback, as he managed to run for TDs of 5, 4, and 2 yards while being limited through the air in Big Red’s 35-12 win over Stoughton in a South Sectional semifinal.

Division 4

Isaac Seide, Melrose — The 5-foot-9 junior running back rushed for TDs of 5, 3 and 13 yards as the Red Raiders held on to defeat North Reading, 27-26, advancing to the North Sectional final.

Nick Lane, Pembroke — The senior running back scored five TDs on runs of 10, 1, 39, 3 and 25 yards while gaining 207 yards in a 44-12 victory over Nauset.

Shane Cooney and Luke D’Aloia, Hopkinton — Both defensive backs returned interceptions for touchdowns, and D’Aloia caught a pass for a successful two-point conversion, as the Hillers shut out Dartmouth, 27-0, in a South Sectional semifinal.

Division 5

Rob Evans and Jonah Arsenault, Dennis-Yarmouth — The Dolphins rushed for 370 yards as a team in their 43-7 victory over Foxborough. Evans led all Dolphins running backs with 151 yards on eight carries and TD runs of 19, 60 and 30 yards while Arsenault pitched in for 81 yards on 13 carries and TD runs of 5 and 6 yards..

Aidan Sullivan & Abel Lopes, Scituate — Sullivan completed his final 14 passes and threw three touchdowns as the Sailors defeated Medfield, 38-21. The junior quarterbak was 19-for-21 on the night, racking up 191 yards of passing. Meanwhile Lopes caught six passes and snared a pair of interceptions in the win.

Matt Mortellite & Nick Kinnon, Lynnfield — The senior quarterback went 18-for-26 passing with 248 yards and a touchdown as the Pioneers knocked off Newburyport, 26-7. Kinnon caught six of Mortellite’s passes for 73 yards and a touchdown. Kinnon also brought a kick-return back 95 yards for a touchdown to start the third quarter.

Division 6

Tre Pignone and Kevin McShane, Stoneham — Pignone carried the ball 18 times for 190 yards and scored three TDs on runs of 1 and 34 yards and an 80-yard kickoff return, helping Stoneham take a 36-32 lead after three quarters. Visiting Shawsheen Tech regained the advantage, but McShane answered, finding pay dirt with only 1:52 remaining to advance the host Spartans.

Jeremy Soule, Middleboro — The senior tailback carried the ball 18 times and racked up 187 yards, scoring three TDs on runs of 1, 5, and 11 yards to help knock off previously unbeaten Norwell. The Sachems will now face Old Rochester in the South Sectional final.

Zach Moreis, Martha’s Vineyard — This senior supplied all the scoring the Vineyarders would need in a win over Greater New Bedford, connecting on a 56-yard pass to Cooper Bennett and running for a 49-yard TD in the game’s first quarter.

Division 7

Calvin Johnson, St. Mary’s — The senior quarterback led the Spartans with three TDs on runs of 1, 9 and 2 yards in a 46-0 win over Greater Lawrence in North Sectional semis.

Jacob Johnston, Mashpee — In this South Sectional semi, Johnston led the Falcons with two touchdowns, including a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown, and two extra-point passes in a 22-6 win over Archbishop Williams.

Mark Kilmain, Abington — The senior scored TDs on runs of 2 and 4 yardsas the Green Wave knocked off Nantucket, 28-13 in a South Sectional semi.

Division 8

Steffan Gravely, Lynn Tech — Gravely carried the ball 17 times for 149-yards and TDs on runs of 7, 8 and 9 yards as Lynn Tech defeated New Mission, 35-0, to advance to the North Sectional final.

Kurt Hopkins, Millis — After being sidelined for three weeks with a dislocated elbow, Hopkins made his return with 25 carries for 135 rushing yards and TDs of 10, 2 and 21 yards. Defensively, Hopkins had a sack as Millis advanced to the South Sectional final with a 42-14 win over St. John Paul II.

Elijah McAllister, Wareham — The running back rushed for 165 yards and TDs of 7 and 11 yards in the first half as Wareham defeated Sacred Heart, 40-8, and advanced to the South Sectional final.

Preps

Ryan Eamer, BB&N — The quarterback from Medfield threw for 352 yards and TDs of 28, 70, 10 and 30 yards to power BB&N past Governor’s, 47-39.

Kevin Deree, Thayer — The senior running back ran for 207 yards on just 17 carries, scoring twice on a pair of 5-yard runs in a 28-0 shutout of Groton.

Will Greer, Roxbury Latin — The quarterback was a dual-threat in the Foxes first win of the season, a 28-21 victory over Middlesex. Greer threw for 127 yards and TDs of 21, 5 and 13 passes, adding 131 yards of rushing.
