First has worked at the Globe as an editor and reporter since 2000. As the Globe’s food editor, she oversees the Wednesday Food section, Thursday Insider, and food coverage for the Sunday Enthusiast. A New York native and Grinnell College graduate, First was previously the Globe’s restaurant critic and food reporter. She has also served as assistant arts editor in the Globe’s Living/Arts department and worked at the Boston Phoenix.
