Jan covers national politics as well as healthcare policy in the Washington bureau. Previously she was the Globe’s higher education reporter in Boston. She joined the Globe in 2004 and covered K-12 education, including the Boston Public Schools. Her work has won the National Headliner Awards. A Stanford University graduate, Jan began her career as a crime and courts reporter for The Oregonian.
