Blackhawks’ stars together for a long time

The matching contract extensions the Blackhawks gave to stars Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews make sense for both sides. Chicago keeps its offensive core intact, and Kane and Toews can both try free agency while still in their early 30s. Should they stay together through their extensions, which run through the 2022-23 season, they will join a small collection of players to play at least 15 seasons as teammates.
