Braintree High’s Varsity Dance Team has completed another victorious season by securing first place in the jazz division and second place in the pom division in the New England Championship. Having won both the Bay State Conference and state competitions, Braintree chose to compete against dance teams from several New England states. Braintree beat seven other high school dance teams to win the jazz division. New to the pom division, Braintree trailed only nationally ranked Hamden High School in Connecticut. “We had tremendous senior leadership and support from parents and a winning record for the entire year,” said coach Jamie Campbell. “We’ve never done two routines in a competition before,” said one of the four captains, Alison Page. “Although it was something new, we are always willing to challenge ourselves.’’
